Customer Service & Logistics

Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) is where you’ll integrate our end-to-end demand-driven supply chain. Working “from farm to shelf,” you’ll connect plants with customers to deliver best-in-class service in the most efficient way. Your goal will be to have the right products, at the right time, and with the right quantity and quality on the shelf.


Trade Effectiveness Analyst (SG 5)

Trade Effectiveness Analyst position requires mastery of trade effective fundamentals, customer planning tools and various data sources coupled with strong analytical abilities, excel skills and is detail orientated. It will be critical to work closely with customer business teams and to understand customer strategies and planning issues. In addition, there is a strong link with the HQ Customer Investment and Planning (CIP) teams to ensure consistent analysis approach, tools and best practices.

Detailed Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:

• Populate post promotional analysis for events on a monthly basis using information from planning and financial tools (HTP, TPM, Tableau) and syndicated data sources (Nielsen, IRI). Accurate analysis will require strong knowledge for data sources and ongoing interaction with customer teams to understand customer strategies, plans and execution. Post Event Analysis (PEA) spreadsheet and methodology will be consistent across all customers while specific data needs may vary to create “optimal/most time efficient” PEA practice by team (Nielsen vs IRI consumption). For Biscuit, PEA’s will cover specific customers and promoted brands (Customers determined by area, promoted brands specific by HQ). For gum, Candy and Halls, PEA’s will cover ALL promoted brands and events for specific customers (Customers determined by area). 50%

• Develop and maintain a database of PEA’s for the area that will also be fed monthly to HQ CIP team for aggregation on a national basis. Analyst will create standard and ad-hoc reports and analysis of this data that will facilitate development of learning. Best practice for database usage will be developed with HQ CIP and shared across areas. Communicate and publish findings to customer teams and Area Director of Customer Development. 25%

• Support customer teams and Area Director of Customer Development in developing lesson-learned from PEAs/database that will be used to improve customer plans. Capture area wide lessons learned to facilitate sharing of best practices. Participate in quarterly planning reconnect process with CBT/Area/HQ. 20%

• Aggregate area inputs for Trade Effectiveness Tracker and submit quarterly add-ups to HQ Trade Effectiveness Analyst 5%



  • Minimum education and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Minimum 2 years general work experience (analytical experience preferred)

  • Minimum 2 years Proficient in Excel (graphs and pivot tables preferred

  • Minimum 2 years Knowledge of consumption metrics and databases (Nielsen/IRI).

  • Minimum 2 years CPW knowledge

  • Demonstrated high degree of analytical capabilities

  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate processes and procedures to key stakeholders in presentation and oral formats and large target groups

  • Strong Proficiency across entire SAP suite

  • Proficient in excel, strong proven ability with data analyze and manipulation.

  • Analytical capabilities while problem solving
